Message remote or lone employees through any cell phone number or email address from virtually anywhere in the world. SPOT My Account comes loaded with 14 predefined messages that can be further customized and synced to your SPOT X device.

SOS
Employees can send an emergency message to the FocusPoint International, Inc. rescue coordination center, communicate about the nature of the emergency, transmit GPS coordinates and receive confirmation when help is on the way.

Traking
Set up tracking at 2½, 5, 10, 30 or 60 minute intervals to track in near real-time with SPOT’s easy-to-use SPOT Mapping interface.

Check In
Employees can quickly and easily check in and provide status updates.

Compass
Built-in compass and programmable waypoints to aid the user with navigation.

Tips for SPOT X

• SPOT X needs a clear view of the sky with no obstructions. SPOT X is not reliable at the bottom of a deep canyon, in a cave, in an abyss, or in very dense woods.
• Before heading off the grid, we strongly recommend that you send a test message to ensure your device was activated properly. You can view your sent messages in your SPOT My Account.
• Test your SOS before heading out in SPOT My Account.
• For troubleshooting common issues, try a Hard Reset by following these steps:
  – Frimly press & hold the Power and Select Button for 12 seconds.
  – Let go when the screen goes blank.
  – The SPOT X logo should be displayed on the screen.
